What if I should come to trust more of love The summer is loveliness foregone, Leaving its glories in sunset glow, And now its deep-felt warmth is almost done, Which autumn’s excess tints for show. What if I should come to trust more of love Stretching metre to a joyful future song - Finding never-ending summer dawn above, That I might broach new summers and belong. This is my heaven, making all things new, That nature will enlighten and renew.
